Banned Book Week
Come help us celebrate the right to Let Freedom Read during Banned Books Week, where we’ll be spotlighting books that have appeared on the American Library Association’s Top 10 list of most challenged books over the past decade.
Banned Books Week was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in libraries, bookstores, and schools. The annual event highlights the value of free and open access to information and brings together the entire book community — librarians, educators, authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers of all types — in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas.
Shop your support during this year’s event by stopping by, ordering online, or simply shouting out your favorite banned book…and come see what we have in store for you!
