Author Book Signing with Amanda Churchill

Local author, Amanda Churchill, will be on-hand to sign her debut novel, “The Turtle House,” inspired by the author’s grandmother who was a Japanese war bride.
Moving between late 1990s small-town Texas to pre-World War II Japan and occupied Tokyo, this novel is an emotionally engaging literary debut about a grandmother and granddaughter who connect over a beloved lost place and the secrets they both carry.
We invite you to meet this amazing author who is a Writers’ League of Texas 2021 Fellow who has written a touching story of two women who find their way back to themselves, each reclaiming what was once thought to be lost.
